I think this news will not make a lot of people feel uncomfortable and 3/5 won’t even notice its missing icon from the Facebook status bar. Facebook has finally decided to close down the “Questions” and start more of its focus on facebook search.

Questions was started as people began using Facebook in a new and unexpected way. Facebook users would ask a question, and their friends would answer. But things went the other way, because of many reasons like the questions interface was not user friendly and more importantly the platform was not right.

When Questions was started by the facebook, the plot was to compete with Quora. Quora is well organized and managed by the both ends from the company and by the users. While Facebook Questions lacked this luxury, specially from its users.

After the bad news, the good news is Questions will still be available for Groups and for the Pages. So the page owners can still ask questions to their fans and groups can create a polls for anything.
