PlayStation 3 hacked! that’s the big story revolving around us these days, and with the time more details are coming.
According to latest updates, hackers are claiming to have access to credit card details stolen from Sony’s PlayStation Network in mid-April, though security researchers say it is not possible to verify the claims.
Sony has mentioned in a blog post that the credit card data it stored was encrypted: “While all credit card information stored in our systems is encrypted and there is no evidence at this time that credit card data was taken, we cannot rule out the possibility.”
Whatever the actual facts are but still there are dozens of people reporting charges on items such as German airline tickets and Japanese stores.
I must recommend people to watch your accounts, search for any suspicious activity, and you can contact your bank and ask for a replacement card.
